Ventilerade Fasadsystem

House in Zurlindestrasse, Zurich (CH), Zürich

How can a building be designed to fit harmoniously into a historical setting shaped by houses from the turn of the 19th century while at the same time retaining a contemporary character? Architecture office huggen_berger sought answers to this question in their design for a multiple dwelling in Zurich-Wiedikon. The new building presents a surprising new interpretation of the classical building style with a black ceramic rainscreen cladding system.
